Snagit can capture your screen, including extended length or width of the open windows of a web page, or application, using its panoramic capture capability. When you need to create longer video tutorials, or edit captured lectures, for example to add captions, that’s when you should turn to Camtasia. Or when you need to convert a short video to an animated GIF for your social media streams, then Snagit is the best option. If you just need to capture a web page, for example a form, and create annotations with directions to how to fill it out most effectively, then Snagit is the best tool. Why use Snagit when we also have access to Camtasia? Snagit is much simpler to use, and is really designed for capturing and annotating quickly. I’m using Windows 10 and it seems to work just fine. This one is available and actually functions. 90 percent of all free image overlay utilities have vanished from the market for some reason over time. This program seems to do the trick and that’s all that really matters. I still have the program, but it’s illegal for me to share it with others. It was much easier to work with than this particular program. Then disappeared into obscurity shortly thereafter. But it is no longer available anywhere that I can find on the Internet. I prefer another program called ImageOverlyUtility. I had to reposition the location and scale of the image by quite a bit. You can also adjust the opacity and scale of the image. I realize that's not what you're after.īut that's a feature that some might find useful. It can do animated PNG sequences as well. Would not be my choice as a location to save image folders to. Which if I were going to use this utility on a normal basis. I chose my desktop as the folder location. Then I pointed the utility to that folder.
All I had to do was create a separate folder in place an image in. However, it took me less than 10 minutes to figure out how to place this PNG image on my screen. I find it’s controls to be a little clunky and awkward to work with.
